Carlos Rojas — Andino Asset Management (Peru)
Lecture: “Outlook and Current Opportunities in Peru”
Founder and portfolio manager of Andino Asset Management, an investment management boutique that specializes in Peruvian Equities. From 2006 to 2011, Mr. Rojas was Director and Chief Investment Officer of Compass Group’s Peruvian office and manager, among others, of the Peru Special Investments Fund (PSIF), one of the best performing emerging-market equity hedge funds during the period (AUM of US$ 135 million). For a short time he was also the CIO of the Compass Colombian office. From 1999 to 2006, Mr. Rojas worked in Rimac Seguros, the largest insurance company in Peru. Before that, he worked in New York and Lima with Deutsche Bank as a sales trader for the Andean Region. Mr. Rojas graduated in Business Administration from the Universidad del Pacifico (Lima). He currently serves as Director of Pesquera Exalmar S.A.A. and is a columnist, since 2011, on G de Gestion — the most-read business finance magazine in Peru.

Claudio Maulhardt — Copernico Capital Partners (Argentina)
Lecture: “Outlook and Current Opportunities in Argentina”
Claudio Maulhardt is a partner of Copernico, which he joined in January 2003. He is the portfolio manager of the Copernico Argentina Fund. Before joining Copernico, he worked as a Latin American equity research analyst in Buenos Aires and New York for ABN AMRO, covering financial institutions and real estate companies between 1997 and 2002. Prior to that, he was the co-head of equity research for Banco Republica in Argentina, where he worked from 1993 through 1997. Mr. Maulhardt holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Universidad de Buenos Aires.

Federico Carballo — Copernico Capital Partners (United States)
Lecture: “Outlook and Current Opportunities in Argentina”
Partner and portfolio manager of Copernico Capital Partners LLC. From 1997 to 2006, Mr. Carballo headed Compass Group’s alternative assets unit, overseeing hedge fund and private equity strategies. From 1989 to 1997, he worked for Citicorp Securities Inc. in New York, where he was Managing Director and responsible for the emerging markets fixed income trading operation and the bank’s refinancing portfolio. Before joining Citibank, Mr. Carballo worked with Booz-Allen & Hamilton in Madrid. He holds a BS in Economics from Universidad Católica Argentina and a MS in Finance from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.

Fernando X. Donayre — INCA Investments (United States)
Lecture: “Latin America Update and Outlook”
Chief Investment Officer and founder of INCA Investments, LLC, a Latin American investment management firm based in Miami which manages approximately US$ 750 million. From 1996 through 2003, Mr. Donayre was employed by Zephyr Management, L.P. where he managed their portfolios of Latin American listed securities. From 1994 to 1996, he was the Director of Research at Globalvest Management, which at the time was the largest boutique investment management firm solely focusing on Latin American markets. From 1988 to 1994, he was in charge of international and emerging market equity investments at FPL Group. Mr. Donayre received his MBA in International Business from the University of Florida, is a Certified Public Accountant, and a CFA charterholder.

Gustavo Ballvé — Edge Investimentos (Brazil)
Lecture: “Brazilian Investment Case”
Partner of Edge Investimentos since 2012, Mr. Ballvé is responsible for equity research. Previously, he was a partner of Investidor Profissional (IP), with which he had worked since 2001. Mr. Ballvé has a degree in Engineering from PUC-RJ and has attended the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School.

Marc Sauerman — JMalucelli Investimentos (Brazil)
Lecture: “Brazilian Investment Case”
Marc Sauerman is CIO of JMalucelli Investimentos, a value-focused Brazilian investment management firm with more than US$ 800 million under management. Before joining JMalucelli, his career included risk-control and other finance-related roles at HSBC Brazil. He also worked in Corporate Finance at Ernst & Young and a Belgian financial institution. Mr. Sauerman holds a Commercial Engineering degree from the VUB in Brussels, Belgium.

Mauricio Levi — FAMA Investimentos (Brazil)
Opening Lecture: “Macro Brazil — Update and Outlook”
Founding partner with FAMA Investimentos, an independent investment management firm founded in 1993 that focuses on small-cap stocks and private equity and currently manages about R$ 1.5 billion, predominantly from universities, pension funds, and insurance companies. FAMA’s most traditional fund — Futurewatch — has a return of 30% per year compounded for more than 20 years. Mr. Levi is responsible for fund management, macroeconomics, and politics analysis. A member of the Board of Directors of Portobello S/A and Rodobens Negócios Imobiliários, he graduated in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Fundação Getulio Vargas de São Paulo.

Tiago Guitián dos Reis — Set Investimentos (Brazil)
Lecture: “Brazilian Stock Market Valuations and Returns”
Founding partner with Set Investimentos, Mr. Reis works since 2003 with business analysis and portfolio management. He graduated in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas de São Paulo.
