Founding partner with MAAM Investments, Bruno Almeida has more than 15 years of experience in equity investing. Before founding MAAM, he was a member of the investment committee of a major family office in Brazil (with more than $2 billion in AUM), responsible for its equity analysis. Formerly, he worked with financial risk management in one of Brazil’s largest industrial conglomerates. Bruno Almeida graduated in Business Administration from PUC-Minas, holds a master’s degree in Business Administration and a specialization degree in Finance from London Business School, and was awarded the CFA — Chartered Financial Analyst — designation.


Christian Bojlesen — Clube de Investimentos Bojlesen (São Paulo)
Panel: “Investment Picks” (Moderator)
Analyst and portfolio manager with Clube de Investimentos Bojlesen — focusing on fundamental analysis, value investing and small caps — which he founded in 2008. Christian Bojlesen graduated in Business Administration with emphasis in Finance from Colorado State University and holds the CGA (ANBIMA) and CNPI (Apimec) certifications.


Leandro Cyrino Saliba — BS2 Asset Management (Belo Horizonte)

[Profile to be translated soon:] Sócio-fundador e CIO da BS2 Asset, Leandro Saliba possui 22 anos de experiência no mercado financeiro, com foco em análise fundamentalista e gestão de investimentos. Anteriormente, foi gestor de investimentos na Fundação Libertas de Seguridade Social, onde trabalhou por seis anos, e gestor de renda variável da Araújo Fontes. Leandro Saliba é formado em Administração de Empresas pela PUC-MG e possui as certificações CGA pela ANBIMA e CNPI pela Apimec. É membro da Apimec desde 1998, tendo atuado como Conselheiro (de 2009 a 2011 e de 2014 a 2016) e como Diretor (de 2013 a 2014).


Leonardo Barros Abboud — Set Investimentos (São Paulo)
Lecture: “Equities in the Long-term: 50 Years of the Ibovespa Index”
Portfolio manager with Set Investimentos — investment management firm that focuses on stocks and adheres to value investing — whose equity research team he joined eight years ago. Leonardo Abboud graduated in Civil Engineering from USP’s Escola Politécnica and holds an MBA in Finance from INSPER.


Marcelo Audi — Cardinal Partners (São Paulo)
Lecture: “Behavioral Investing in Brazil”
Founding partner with Cardinal Partners and portfolio manager of Cardinal Partners FIA, a Brazilian equities fund that embraces fundamental analysis and follows the value philosophy. Marcelo Audi has more than 25 years of experience in the Brazilian equities market. Between 2007 and 2013, he was a director of Santander’s Brazilian broker-dealer — also directing the firm’s equity research and being its head of strategy for Brazilian equities. Formerly, he was a founding partner with financial-consulting firm Quadrante Investimentos, heading its investment strategy between 2003 and 2006. He directed Brazilian equity research at Merrill Lynch between 1997 and 2002 and at Banco Patrimônio, as a partner, between 1992 and 1997. Marcelo Audi graduated in Business Administration from EAESP-FGV.


Pedro Hermanny Diniz — Impacto Investimentos (Belo Horizonte)
Panel: “Investment Picks”
Founding partner and portfolio manager with Impacto Investimentos, Pedro Diniz has 22 years of experience in financial markets, focusing on analysis and equity-portfolio management, adopting the value approach. He received a graduate degree in Economics from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and an MBA in Finance from IBMEC. He is an Apimec member and has served as Fiscal Director in several public companies.


Priscila Fernandes de Araújo — Hogan Investimentos (São Paulo)
Lecture: “Update LatAm & Investment Cases”
Partner with Hogan Investimentos and co-manager of its LatAm-Equities, Absolute-Return strategy. Priscila Araújo joined Victoire Investimentos (now Hogan Investimentos) in 2005, becoming a partner in 2009. Formerly, she was a portfolio manager at SSB Citigroup Asset Management in São Paulo, where she also coordinated the investment committee and was directly responsible for 90 institutional mandates and 25 mutual funds (R$ 2.5 billion in AUM). At Citigroup Private Bank, she was a product specialist, identifying opportunities in the equities, derivatives, interest-rate, and foreign-exchange markets. Priscila Araújo graduated in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas – FGV (São Paulo) and holds an Executive MBA in Finance from INSPER – Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa (former IBMEC in São Paulo). She is a member of Brazil’s CFA Society and of the Board of Directors of Fundação Visconde de Porto Seguro.


Rafael Cota Maciel — AF Invest (Belo Horizonte)
Panel: “Investment Picks”
Manager of equity funds at AF Invest (Araújo Fontes) and President of Apimec-MG. Between 2011 and 2015, he was co-responsible for investment analysis and equity fund management at Impacto Investimentos. Rafael Cota Maciel graduated in Board Directorship (third class of IBGC-MG), has been a Board Member (2014 to 2016), President of the Financial Committee (2016), and Vice President (2017 and 2018) of Apimec-MG. From 2012 to 2017, he taught Capital Markets with an emphasis on Value Investing at Centro Universitário UNA. Rafael Cota Maciel graduated in Social Communication with an emphasis in Publicity and Marketing from UNI-BH, has an MBA in Finance from IBMEC–MG and has a postgraduate degree in Capital Markets and Derivatives from PUC–MG.


Rodrigo Dias — Butiá Investimentos (Belo Horizonte)

[Profile to be translated soon:] Sócio fundador da Butiá Investimentos, onde acumula as funções de CEO e CIO desde 2015. Anteriormente, foi sócio e head da AF Invest (Araújo Fontes), entre os anos de 2008 e 2015, e head de gestão de investimentos na Fundação Libertas de Seguridade Social, onde trabalhou por nove anos. Foi membro do Comitê de Fundos de Participações da ANBIMA no período de 2012 a 2015 e Diretor da APIMEC-MG de 2010 a 2012. Rodrigo Dias é bacharel em Ciências Econômicas pela PUC-MG e possui MBA em Finanças pelo IBMEC-MG.


Rui Tabakov Rebouças — Seletto Value (Miami)
Lecture: “Selecting Value Strategies Abroad”
Founding-Partner of Seletto Value and portfolio manager of Seletto Value Global Fund, a fund of hedge funds focusing on (broadly-defined) value strategies. From 2006 to 2013, he managed Tabakov Capital, an investment adviser in New York. He was a consultant to van Biema Value Partners between 2010 and 2011. In 2005, he published the Brazilian version of The Essays of Warren Buffett: Lessons for Corporate America — a project suggested by Warren Buffett. Rui Tabakov Rebouças graduated in Law from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, holds a Juris Doctor degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and is the founder of Value Investing Brasil.


Wagner Faccini Salaverry — Quantitas (Porto Alegre)
Lecture: “Investment Cases: Autopsies and Lessons”
Partner with Quantitas Participações SA and head of equity portfolio management at Quantitas Gestão de Recursos SA. Wagner Salaverry has more than 20 years of experience in financial and capital markets. Formerly, the managed the investment analysis team at Geração Futuro Corretora de Valores, having become a partner and managing director of the group’s controlling company in 2005. He has also been partner and managing director of Geração Futuro Banco de Investimentos, Geração Futuro Corretora de Valores and Geração Administração de Recursos, of which he was also the responsible person for managed investments under CVM [Brazil’s SEC-equivalent]. Wagner Salaverry is a portfolio manager and an investment analyst authorized with CVM and certified by ANBIMA. He graduated in Business Administration, with a focus in Finance, from UFRGS.
