André Gordon — GTI Administração de Recursos (São Paulo)
Lecture: “How to Participate in Growth Paying Value”
Founding partner with GTI Administração de Recursos, an independent investment management company focusing on Brazil’s stock market. During his more than 20 years of experience in financial markets, André Gordon has worked at the trading desks of several renowned financial institutions, including Banco Itaú BBA, Banco Pátria, Santander and Banco Bozano, Simonsen. He is a member of AMEC’s Audit and Technical Committees and holds a master’s degree in Economics from EPGE/FGV-RJ and an Economics degree from FEA/USP.


Breno Guerbatin — Studio Investimentos (Rio de Janeiro)
Lecture: “Successes and Mistakes in Selecting Stocks”
Member of Studio Investimentos’ Investment Committee and co-portfolio manager of Studio FIC FIA, which returned 57.0% since inception, at the end of 2009, contrasting with a loss for the Ibovespa Index of 17.3% during the same period. In 2009, Breno Guerbatin was a manager with TV Globo. From 2008 to 2009, he was an equity analyst and member of the Managing Committee of BNY Mellon ARX. From 2005 to 2008, he was partner and Investment Officer of Brazil Energy, a private-equity boutique focused on energy and infrastructure. From 2002 to 2005, he was an investment analyst and a fund manager at Opportunity Asset Management. Breno Guerbatin graduated in Production Engineering from UFRJ and has a postgraduate Degree in Corporate Law from FGV-RJ.


Felipe Tâmega Fernandes — Banco Modal (Rio de Janeiro)
Lecture: “Public Policy Effects on the Labor Market and Brazilian Competitiveness”

Partner and chief economist at Banco Modal. Formerly, Felipe Tâmega worked at Consultoria Galanto, from 2003 to 2004, at Pictet Modal Asset Management, in 2002, and at Banco Banif Primus, from 2001 to 2002. He graduated in Economics from UFRJ, has a master’s degree from PUC-Rio, a doctorate from the London School of Economics, and a post-doctorate from Harvard Business School. He is a professor at the Economics department at PUC-Rio since 2011 (a position he had already occupied between 2002 and 2005), and has been a professor at the Instituto de Atuária da PUC-Rio (IAPUC) in 2005 and a tutor at London School of Economics, from 2006 to 2009, and at Harvard Business School, in 2010.


Luiz Codorniz — Value Investor (São Paulo)

Investment consultant with ample experience in the areas of underwriting, equities, buy-side and sell-side investment analysis and fund management, having worked with Bank Boston, Santander, Lloyds Asset Management, and Itaú Asset Management. More recently, Luiz Codorniz was a partner at Humaitá Investimentos and a consultant of a global hedge fund. He received graduate degrees in Business and Accounting from UFRGS, a postgraduate degree in Accounting from FEA-USP, and a master’s degree in Finance from EAESP-FGV. In 2002, he participated in the Applied Value Investing program at Columbia University. From 2002 to 2009, he was a member of Value Investors Club.


Marcello Ganem — Oceana Investimentos (Rio de Janeiro)
Panel: “Investment Picks”
Co-founder, equity analyst and co-portfolio manager at Oceana Investimentos. Formerly, Marcello Ganem was a senior equity analyst with Meta Asset Management (from 2006 to 2008), responsible for the utilities and education sectors. From 2002 to 2006, he was a business manager at Pamcary — a market leader in cargo insurance. He was a consultant at McKinsey (from 2001 to 2002) and worked in M&A transactions in Brazil and in the United States, at Lehman Brothers (2000) and Citibank (from 1996 to 1999). Marcello Ganem graduated in Industrial Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1994) and has an MBA from Columbia Business School (from 1999 to 2001).


Stephen Duvignau — Mauá Sekular (São Paulo)

Senior equity analyst at Mauá Sekular. Formerly, Stephen Duvignau was an analyst at Lanx Capital, NEO Investimentos and GPS. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering at Swarthmore College, with courses at the Peking University (China), and has a Master's degree in Acoustical Physics from Université Paris VII.


Tiago Guitián dos Reis — Set Investimentos (São Paulo)

Founding partner with Set Investimentos, Tiago Reis works since 2003 with business analysis and portfolio management. He graduated in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas de São Paulo.
